DISA Vascular’s focus on improving clinical outcomes, and bringing quality to the lives of patients suffering from heart disease, builds on the medical heritage in beautiful city of Cape Town. The pioneering work of Dr Christiaan Barnard, which culminated in 1967 when he transplanted the first human heart at Groote Schuur Hospital, established the Cape’s reputation for medical innovation.
DISA Vascular, which is named after the rare and beautiful Disa flower found in the mountains of the Cape, has spent the past twelve years building on this legacy. Through in-depth research and development and a total commitment to patient care, the company has produced high quality innovative medical devices for the treatment of coronary artery disease. Today our products are sold through our direct sales force in all cardiac hospitals in South Africa, and via a network of distributors in many parts of the world.
Our core values of care, learn, innovate, deliver and relationships provide the backbone of the company that allows us to fulfill our mission of providing our customers with superior products and a differentiated and engaging service experience. Through continued focus on our core values, our vision is to become an internationally recognized provider of medical device-based solutions for cardiac diseases.
DISA Vascular has ISO9001 and ISO13485 European certifications. All our products carry the CE mark and have also gained regulatory approval in various other regions outside of Europe. Partnering with DISA Vascular means working with a highly dedicated team of professionals who will provide first class service, technical and marketing support, and future products that will lead technology in this highly dynamic and exciting market.
